How to get back to writing after months of eluding writing.

Source — @bradneathery

In the past 4 months, I didn’t write a single article. I didn’t write a single poem. No prose went through my finger neither on paper nor on screen. I won’t blame anything but now here I am someone who hasn’t wrote for months and now I feel helpless, unable to think about what to write.

Have you ever been in a similar situation, where you avoided something or someone you love for so long that eventually it started avoiding you ?

The question that is pondering over my head is how do I get back, how do I regain the insight of moving from a frustrated consumer to the producer of content. Writing something that can of value to the one who reads it.
It’s odd, I don’t have any solutions to the topic I am writing this article about, but I think by the end you and I will figure it out.
So, let’s get started-

1. Get Started

The first step is the hardest step, so just start writing, take up anything just type, just pick up a pen and start scribbling, it doesn’t matter if the words make sense or not, it doesn’t matter if there is coherence in the idea or anything worth publishing at all. Just start it.

2. Make the Environment —

Your environment defines your state of mind, now I am not talking about getting into a fancy apartment, luxury room or a high end coffee shop to write article.. but make something peaceful. A comfy couch, your favorite chair, a bench in park or hell a tea stall. Be in the place where you can let your mind wander.

3. Honesty

Honestly at this point, I still haven’t figured out what I want to write about. Remember I am still someone who hasn’t written for a long time, which is which is me being honest isn’t it ?
Oh, my mind just wandered of, so write something true or something you feel is true, a experience you had, a problem you are facing, a book you are reading, the recent sport event or just how frustrated you are that you have no clue on what to write, which again being such a “NICE GUY” I am doing right now. Okay moving ahead.

4. Look Back

Wait a second… oh damn it. I just wrote an article. Wow, from being frustrated just 15 minute back to now having an article, piece of work (No matter how boring). I did it. I made something, and remember my dear dear reader.

“Writing makes you a writer ”

So, here ends my Day 1, and now its your turn. And together we are just getting started.
